Meta-Communication with the students
Explain to your student why you do the activity and use the technology and how you expect them to work with it

Even though students are used to technology and find it easy to navigate online, they do not necessarily understand how technology can be used to support learning processes. This means that using a learning management system like Blackboard can feel just as foreign to the students, as it can for the teacher. You ought therefore begin by explaining to the students why you are incorporating technology in the teaching and how they are expected to use it. You should also reserve time for questions about the technology.
