Goal

When traditional classroom teaching is not possible, an online seminar makes the interaction between lecturers and students possible. Through this format, the students are given the chance to revisit the topic, too.

Prepare the activity

After the presentation, the lecturer wraps up the central points. (5 min.)

After the seminar, the lecturer sends a link to the recorded seminar to the students .

Wrap up on the activity

Then the seminar starts. The teacher welcomes you with a live image of himself and provides a brief introduction to how students interact with the teacher in Adobe Connect or Zoom.us.

The students must be informed that the seminar is being recorded.

The lecturer starts his/her presentation. First, the agenda and the intended learning outcome are introduced; then the lecturer starts the presentation as such.

The lecturer can turn off his/her web camera for the students not to be disturbed by two screens. (25 minutes)

The students can ask questions in the chat during the presentation.

Every 5 minutes the lecturer makes a small break in which s/he follows up on the chat questions.

Ensure a good execution

The lecturer sends an invitation to the students with a link to Adobe Conect or Zoom.us depending on which platform has been chosen for holding and recording the seminar.

The students access the site 15 minutes before start for them to make sure that the connection is established.

Before start, the lecturer can play some music: If the students hear this music, they are ready for participation.

  • Underviseren udsender en invitation til de studerende med et link til Adobe Connect eller Zoom.us, hvori online seminaret afvikles og optages.
  • De studerende tilgår linket ca. 15 min. før start for at sikre sig, at der ikke er vanskeligheder med forbindelsen.
  • Underviseren kan med fordel afspille et stykke musik: Hvis de studerende kan høre musikken, er de klar til at deltage.
  • Herefter starter seminaret. Underviseren byder velkommen med et live-billede af sig selv og giver en kort introduktion til, hvordan de studerende interagerer med underviseren i Adobe Connect eller Zoom.us.
  • De studerende skal gøres opmærksom på, at seminaret optages.
  • Underviseren skifter nu over til sin præsentation. Først vises program og læringsmål for seminaret, og derefter begynder underviseren sit faglige oplæg.
  • Underviseren kan overveje at slukke sit webcamera, for at de studerende ikke skal blive distraheret af to skærmbilleder.

  • De studerende kan stille spørgsmål i chatten, mens underviseren taler.
  • Underviseren bør ca. hvert femte minut indlægge en kort pause, hvor han samler op på de spørgsmål, der er blevet stillet i chatten.
  • Efter præsentationen afrunder underviseren med en kort opsamling af pointer.
    (5 min.)
  • Efter seminaret sender underviseren et link til optagelsen af seminaret ud til de studerende.
