Google Forms is a tool for making surveys and tests. You can create different types of questions such as multiple choice, text input, dropdown, liniar scale, date, etc., as well as adding content such as text, images and video.
It works in the way that you create a new Google Forms and create the questions you want. You can define whether a question is required or not and provide a correct answer with corresponding feedback.
A very useful feature for eg. self-test is that you can give the students different questions depending on what they answer. So if for example a student answers A, he or she gets question Z and if the student answers B, he or she get's question Y. This gives you a nice opportunity to adapt the questions to the individual student. For example, you can add a video that repeats the subject if the student answers incorrectly on a number of questions.
All answers can be displayed with visual statistics, either for all the answers or for individual answers. You can also create a spreadsheet with all the answers.

A self-test can help the students evaluate their competences and knowledge. At the same time, they receive feedback on where and how they can perform better.
Before the activity starts, the teacher has formulated a set of questions based on the intended learning outcomes of the subject and has used Google Forms to build it.
The teacher has also formulated feedback on each question to be delivered automatically when the students take the self-test.
