During the following class, the teacher goes through the answers given by the students. This can be done in a teacher-student-dialogue; the teacher also might do this him/herself in a short lecture.
The time needed depends on the length of the introduction and the number/type of tasks for the students.

The teacher makes an introductory video, voice-over-presentation, or screen cast on the topic of the day and sets the students a task/poses a number of questions for the students to answer.
The subject is practical and I felt that the time spent with the students could be better spent than just talking and talking. I wanted the students to feel much better about the material.
Flipped classroom format, where students watch lecture videos and tutorials of a statistics program from home (out-of-class) and do exercises on campus (in-class). 65 students.
